The
St. Tammany Retired School Employees Association (STRSEA) invites all
St. Tammany public school retirees to its next meeting on Thursday,
March 12, at the Treen Instructional Technology Center in Mandeville. A

meeting at 10:00 a.m.
The speaker for this meeting is the
president of the Louisiana's AARP, Bobby Savoie. He will share a
presentation on fraud and scam prevention. The American Association of Retired
Persons Louisiana's goal is arming retired individuals with the tools
and resources they need to protect themselves and their pensions. STRSEA
President Eric Sacks said Savoie's presentation will be a lively
discussion about how to spot and avoid identity theft and fraud so
participants can inform themselves and their family members.
The
retired teachers group will also present a slate of new officers for the
upcoming new year 2020/2021 and ask for any additional nominations from
the group . Then a vote will be taken. The new officers will be installed during ceremonies at the
group's May meeting. Members were also reminded to bring any magazines
that they no longer need or want to share. There will be an exchange
before and after the meeting.
