The St. Tammany Retired School Employees Association (STRSEA) invites St. Tammany public school retirees and their friends to this meeting. This meeting will provide a health fair. Flu shots (super flu shot for those 65 and older) will be available starting at 9:00 AM provided by Walgreen’s. All that you need is a copy of your insurance information.
The social time will begin at 9:30 a.m. preceding the short business meeting allowing retirees to mingle and enjoy refreshments. The group will begin its business meeting at 10:00 a.m. at the Treen Technology Center, located at 2024 Livingston Street in Mandeville.
We ask that you bring a canned good to donate to the St. Tammany Food Bank. Since our December meeting is so close to the start of Project Christmas, we are also asking members to bring a Christmas gift to donate for the children who are participating. We want to be sure that the volunteers at Project Christmas get the gifts in time to prepare them for the distribution event.
Remember, the STRSEA meets regularly throughout the year to provide opportunities for retirees from the school system to hear about the important issues impacting local and state retirees and to enjoy fun and fellowship with new and former colleagues. Our December meeting is Thursday, December 12th. Mark your calendar.
